Bike ID confusion

Post by mattatec »

Hi,
I'm new to the FZR and I'm a little confused. i checked out the madsi model page but it hasn't helped me much. I think i have an exup fzr400rr.
The frame number on my bike is 3TJ 114279
But the only thing i can find on the engine is 1WG (on its own).
Are these two different models? does it mean i have a older engine in a newer frame?

Thanks very much. Glad to be here.
Is it safe to use the rrsp service manual for this bike or do i need to find the rr exup manual.
I've been through the manuals sticky but it seems that there isn't one for this exact year/model. I think my bike is a 1990 rr exup.
Which other years/models are compatible with this one?
Thanks for your time.

There's a manual on Rampant Racing's link ... I think it's with the SP as well.

There're differences of course but a lot of the things are the same
