I have been looking at the redial site, is this the way to go. The speedo works and is in good order it would be a shame to butcher it.

Im in Co Antrim any local help would be appreciated.

mine passed no problems at all with just the mph overlay so it sounds as if the mot tester is being a !!!!!

like i said on NiB there's a few wee tricky things to look out for but it's really a straight forward fix,if you want i can come meet you,drink your tea and help point out what you should be doing ...

what do you mean irish MOT are different, they dont have them in the republic at all!!
and in the north i went to a station in enniskillen and it was the greatest shambles of an MOT test, go to another test center would be my advice boss

Beat me to it! I was just about to say, don't many Irish bikes have a reputation of being in poor shape due to having no MOT on them. :D

I've been trying to contact Redial since before Christmas hoping to get a MPH dial for my daughter as a present. I have e-mailed, left messages on answer machine and rang dozens of times and still have had no reply. If anyone knows this company or lives nearby could you inform the owner of my anguish.

you could always fit a speedo converter. little gearbox thing that fits on the cable. it comes with a small mph sticker to stick on. Its not too tricky to strip down the clocks (did it myself last week!). Just remember that the trip resetting knob has a small flat head screw inside that needs to be removed. Once you've done that it comes apart nice and easy and goes together just as easy.

The trouble with a converter is that you end up with a 180mph speedo which makes the graduations between speeds very small. It also converts to miles traveled so you end up with a reading of part kilometers and part miles. Picky I know but I would rather get a replacement dial.
