I cant find one any where...please help!

The stock one is 16 teeth for a 50 size chain (as far as i have found out) and i have found a JT sprockets part number of "292-16" for this but they do not do a "292-15".

does any one know where to get them?

thanks all

Standard Factory Sprockets are 15T and available at almost any Chain/Sprocket supplier or Honda Dealer.
A lot of people drop a tooth to change the characteristics of the bike.
(I can never remember wether this Increases top speed or Increases Acceleration, LOL)
however, using anything under the standard 15T sprocket on the front has been found to massively reduce chain life. A lot of people changing the chain and sprocket again after only a few thousand miles!
Try just changing the Rear sprocket for now, unless you have already done that?

The stock gearing is 15/40 on an NC30 and 15/38 on an NC35 with 525 pitch chains (104 and 102 links std respectively)

You can buy 14/15/16 fronts and 37-45 rears..although a 45 rear would be bloody tight..I struggled with a 44 8-)

I would contact any reputable bike shop that deals with 400s - BMC racing (rvfhonda), Graeme France (FranceandLiAsiaTrading) or member Rick Oliver <name as is ;)

All are members on here and well respected.

As stated, stock front sprocket is 525/15, JT part# 297.15, also available in 14t & 16t.

All sprockets either in stock or to order in a couple of days, mail me for price list...

Reducing the size of the front and increasing the size of the rear both contribute to faster acceleration at the expense of top end speed. 15/40 is standard, reducing by one on thr front equates to three on the rear.
Best bet for me has been 14/44. It was tight to get it to fit without it fouling the swing arm but great off the mark. At that gearing my bike was revving out at about 100mph. Fine by me.

yes faster acceleration is what im after....dont know what the sizes i got were on about but oh well. i was thinking smaller front so i would not have to change the chain (maybe loose two links) as it has not been on there long.

im quite happy staying under 100mph when out on a ride and as the bike is restricted it would be nice to have a bit better acceleration... might help me to keep up with my friends a bit better.

may get a 14 on the front and see how it goes

cheers for all the help
