Got an 06 R6 shock for £28!! (ebay is sometimes sooooo brilliant in between the long protracted utter shyte bits) and want to pop it onto the 3EN2 track bike.

This needs one of those conversion mangleworzel type things doesn't it? who makes em, where can i buy? what else to know about this retrofitment from those in the know.

cheers doods

nope not really

Go onto e-bay and get a 25mm jack up kit for the bike - dogbones to you and me. Then you need to round the bottom fitting of the R6 shock (they're square as standard) and fit it up.

wow, that was simple.

what are the oollit things all about then, is that for the 3TJ or something? (having just pm'd him an hour ago for one of them! d'oh!)

which just leaves the dogbones - where do they come from? (please don't say a dogs legs)

a fairly robust search of the interweb revealed precisely nothing for an FZR400 in the 25mm jack up stakes.

Anything else from other models known to fit/do the job?

cheers

you could always try measuring up a few from other bikes or see if peple will measure em for you, think we ended up using sv ones when we fitted the tj swingarm into the 3en1 because they brought the ride height back to where it should be!

was thinking the same - I've already got a set leftover from an old thunderace shock in the garage - they're first up (wouldn't it be lovely if they did the job!)

after that a trawl around the local breakers with a bit of a clue as to how long they need to be is just bound to turn something up. I take it they're all pretty similar in size and mounting hole spec then these things?
