Hi Nick,
32900-10D60 is for the P model B4 32900-10D00 would be for the M/N model. There is differences between uk and jap cdi's, if i remember jap was 7 wires and uk 6 wires with the green/yellow being the difference. The uk did'nt have the 180kph restriction.

I opened mine up to check all connections and on the board there is GK76A printed on it, does that mean thats its off a GSXR400 and will it work ok?

gk76a cdi part no.s end in 33C10 and 33C70 so if the number is as you say and inside its got gk76 then you know somthing i dont and i can only say plug it in and see. The bikes are very similar and Suzi are famous for using stuff on loads of bikes, its why they are so favoured for streetfighters as you just swop from model to model so maybe they use the same board.
Chris.

I sent the CDi for refurb a couple of years ago when i got the bike, i think that they just swapped the internals as it was held in with white silicone. Its run fine till i pratted around with it during winter. Fitted an LED gear indicator which is when i tried starting it with green/yellow wire not connected and fitted a pick up cover off ebay as mine was cracked and tried rebuilding carbs, now it wont start. Got an O ring kit coming tommorow off ebay so fingers crossed. Hope CDi not damaged and looking on ebay for another pick up cover off jap import. Next winter i will leave it alone LOL
Cheers Nick

Hi Nick,
Have you looked at Reggits tread regards the pickup etc. You can take a look at the starter/trigger and see if you have similar and there is info on the 1.5Kohm resistor you can derstrict the G/Y wire with. If you post a pic of your trigger maybe Reggit can help if its the one he's got spare.

My issue was that I replaced a 1993 UK spec engine with a 1989 spec import engine. It took a good while and help from this board to realise that the trigger wheels where different. I would be surprised if that is your problem assuming that the CDI and pickup (trigger) wheel are both still original to the bike.
As Chris says, the green/white wire from the gear area is for the restrictor on the Jap model. I run with it unplugged, but mine is fitter with a UK spec CDI unit.
Your CDI should not have been harmed by unplugging this wire.
As I said on the other thread, pull a plug out and check you've got a spark. I've also put a load of questions on your other thread.
I'll be keeping an eye on the forum now at least until we can get your bike going.
PS whereabouts in the country are you?
