poor running gk83
hi when i start the bike it ticks over find and chock works well . But when i rev it it just cough and spltuers till higher in the rev range . But when its hot and have been riding her for say 10-15 min it seams ok any 1 have any ideas

have you taken the carbs out to see if they need cleaning?

yer cleaned them with no change was wondering if it was these origs that im hearins a lot about . As only just got the gsxr was riding a fzr400 3jt

Its always a good idea to replace all the o-rings in the carbs on an older bike. the factory standard are NOT designed to last over 10 years.
it might be good to check the quality of the diaphragms while your at it.
You should check, when its spluttering in lo revs, do any of your cylinders feel cold - its tell you if she's firing on all 4.
just tap your hand off each downpipe about 10-20 seconds after starting her.
Ive mates who had dodgy earths between the engine and frame at low revs, and at higher revs, all is well, cos the vibrations help make the earth connection better - might be worthwhile cleaning up your engine mounts (metal-to-metal)
