Choke not working!!

Hi,
Ive just sripped/cleaned my carbs. The bike will still not run, the choke is not working.
The choke cable moves the bar, but only moves no.1 choke nipple, but the others arnt moving. The bar seems to be short of the other 3 nipples.
My question is are all the carbs choked, and if so with the tops off should the choke pin hole be fully opened when choke fully on?

Any help would be great

Thanks

Matt

an someone tell me how to post photos?

Thanks
Ive looked at the choke slides/pins, so all four carbs are supposed to be choked. Ive managed to free up 1 and 2, but 3 and 4 are seized solid.
Can anyone recommend any way to free up, tried lubricating and a little heat, but is a really tight fit + corroded?

try some WD40 and gentle tapping with a really really small hammer, and i mean GENTLE!!!
I dont know can the sliding mechanism be accessed from the inside of the carb structure.
You should try getting the slide to go in slightly first, then WD40 again, and then out. Heating it will only expand the metal slide inside - prob not a good idea.... you could try freezing it, carb cleaner wil cool the slide when it evaporates, but not for long... but b careful, it will eat thru any rubber parts it connects with, like o-rings and diaphragms!!

Hi matt,
If you look at the brass choke arms that come out of the carbs you will see that if you squeeze the plastic cover it can be removed and then you can see inside. Then you can put some penetrating oil in over night and gently pull them with a set a pliers.

usually if one choke plunger is seized it stops the others from opening aswell as they ultimately work from the one action.

i had a similar problem with the carbs on the nc30 where one plunger was seized so i took the bar from the plunger so it wouldn't be in contact with it and it then meant the choke only worked on 3 carbs but it worked a treat.
