Just need to check iv measured the valve clearences in the right position.

I take it the gap is measured between the camshaft lobe and the little rocking arm?

Can anyone confirm this please.

Yup.

After you've lined the timing marks and cam marks into the correct place for the valves your going to check, slide your feeler gauge(s) into the gap between the rocker arm and the cam lobe.

Use a ring spanner to slacken the lock nut and then adjust the screw and tighten the locknut while using the screwdriver to keep the screw in place.

ALWAYS re-check after rotating the engine around.. there a bit fiddley to do first time but you'll get the hang of it.

Haha yes they are.

The exhaust valves for cylinders 1 and 3 (rears) are the worst! Spesh if you leave the shock and battery box etc in :D
