Re: starting problem
I am not greatly familiar with the GSXR electrics yet but the I believe it is usually a magnetic pickup from the engine's flywheel (sends a signal to the CDI so it knows where the pistons are so it can sort out the timimg or something to that effect)

Ummm don't swear round here (although vfr was my 1st choice but couldn't resist a cheap Gix4!).Carter wrote:cheers for that, was begining to think i should of got a vfr....not much interest in the gixers on here! just looking at the spec sheet, is it right that the rear should be a 160? got a 150 on at the mo. ta

Re: starting problem
You'll Be alright with either a 150 or 160 rear. Standard sizes are 120/60-17 Front, 160/60-17 Rear (GK76)

Re: starting problem
Get the carbs off and apart. Clean them out thoroughly, blow the jets through with an airline. Replace every single o ring on them you can find.
