HRC Jet kit on a Road NC35??

Hi Guys and Girls - could do with some advice please.

I am getting my RVF dyno'd/jetted and the garage doing it have asked me to supply the Needles and Jets.

Like most people I'm trying to get as much power out of my bike as possible.

It is a road bike. Currently has a Moriwaki Zero system on it (shotgun style). When it gets set up I have the HRC carbon air tray to go in and a High flow Pipercross foam filter. Rick sells the HRC needle/jet kit with emulsion tubes etc. He is not sure if anyone has run this set up successfully on a NC35 road bike still using an air filter, as all the race bikes using this run with no filter.

Has anyone out there done this on their road bike still using a filter and what were the results? I would like to run with this if it is going to work. Your thoughts people???

It would probably run badly with a filter.

You got to make the choice road bike and a few les BHP or race setup and no filter..

The std needles are fine - and jets are jets... The dyno shop seem not to know sod all about the bike and that would make me nervous.

I would take it in, get the gear fitted and a base run and then go from there. The dyno shop should be trying to sort it and selling you the jets etc that are required..

Good advice from Mark.

Using the hrc style kit will probably just cause running problems and massive fuel consumption.

All you need are the standard needles and different sized keihin jets which any good dyno place should be able to provide.

By adjusting the pilot screws, needle height and main jet size you shoul be able to tune it to suit your setup.
