Squeaking when front brake applied

Hi, my brakes have recently started squeaking when i apply the front brake. i dont feel any vibration through the lever, just hear a squeak. its not a constant squeak through braking, its an on / off squeak, which leads me to belive it might be something to do with the disc when it passes through the brake calliper.

Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers.

At first guess, you need to replace your pads. Could be metal on metal

is it a high pitched squeek?

check your bolts are all tight and also check the rubber boot on the mastercylinder - mine has a little squeek...
