Get a Motrax converter for the speedo - you need a gold one for the bottom of cable. Not cheap at £35 new but it will take the 112mph restriction off and takes the guess work out of it too.

Are all imported 3TJ's restricted to 112mph? Reason i ask is mine is still in km's but goes off the clock no problem when i do track days?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but what has actually been done to it to de-restrict it?

It's probably got a M-Max derestictor (or similar) either locted behind the speedo or under the seat.
Either way you'll not need to worry about the speed restriction cutting in.
