I have the KPH clocks with the crappy sticker on the outside of the clocks.

I found these chaps below and saw this. Looks like a MUCH better prospect than trying to find MPH clocks and a shed load better than the crappy stick on MPH over.

What is the speedo like for taking apart to fit something like this? Anything to be aware off? Would I be wise to get a spare KPH clock and butcher that!

Taking the speedo apart is not that tricky but where you'll find the issue is trying to get the needle/pointer back into the correct position when doing the re-fit. There is a black disc that rotates and moves the needle and by all accounts this has to be in the correct postion when you re-attach the needle if you get this wrong I think you'll find that the speedo reading will be out. Not sure how you correct this I'm sure someone on this forum will know.

as padawan says it is not the worlds worst job to do at all, in fact quiet easy once the clocks are off the bike.
you need to pry the needle off which can be tricky and the needle is fragile so if you have a spare set lying around that would be a nice luxury.
you need to get two spoons and put them under the needle as far as possible and then gently lever the needle off.

Here is one i made earlier!! pity the speedo now reads 68K! that was taken a year ago
as you can see i made a mistake put the needle back on and it now reads over by about 5MPH, which is better that reading 5MPH under

Excellent cheers. Will get a spare clock. LIke you say better to have a reading. Mainly for the other half as she has just passed and will be using it and keeps moaning.

when you get the clocks apart, before you pop the needle off and remove the original dial, using seleotape, felt marker, whatever you have handy, make a positiong where the needle is at and where the speed sensing disc is (if you move the needle about you'll see how it moves)

so when you change the dial you can line it all up :-)
