Bike has been fine last few days
went to start it the other morning it started soon as i gave it some throtle it cut out did this a few times then was ok,
went to start it last night did this again but then died totaly, just turning over.
turning it over it fires (pop pop pop) sort of thing, then just spins over nothing,
noticed the other day i had over flow on the left foot (petrol)
so i have put it down to it keeps flooding and now killed the plugs, as when turning over now and then i get a little pop.
should i change the plugs + strip the carbs and give then a clean
or is there somthing i am missing?
Thanks in advance for any help

if its definately not poor starting technique which is one of the main culprits for flooding then look more into it......

first check the condition of the plugs and how well they spark.......then possibly check the carbs,my attention would maybe be drawn to the float bowls, the float may be stuck or something similar causing the engine to flood very easy.

i have striped and clean the cabs jets etc etc
still doing the same,
cant get spark plus out till monday now
i put an old spark plug in and there was a good spark on that
so it must have clogged the ones ine the bike
cant think what else it could be

from the sounds of it...replace the plugs and see what happens.downside.....plugs aren't cheap and even more so if they are not the problem.it would be ideal if you could borrow plugs from someone just to see.

got the plugs out....
there is a very very weak spark and it's sparking round the iner-side walls not where it's ment to be
well 1 plug spraked the other did nothing so that will be why it was poping time to time the plugs was also soaked and black (did clean them and dry them)
downside i cant find anyone to lend me some lol
so will have to pay out £25 for a new set, upside it will have new plugs lol

will let you know what happen when i get some new organs for her

thanks

:scare: £36 for 4 spark plugs what is this world coming to...
well went to bike shop to get new plugs took the old ones in that came out the bike, the bloke there 4t i had a 125cc. he said them plugs are not ment for a 400 so i bought the right ones for it (Nearly passed out when he asked for £36)
put them in
put bike back togeter,
pressed the button  it started 1st press
runs even better now, rev right round the clock no problem where as before it would splutter and feel likes it pulling back at 8k rpm

thanks for the advice,

Trev

come across a new problem (sort of)
well bike starts fine now and runs fine,
problem is at 8000 rpm the bike jeks as if it's out of petrol 9000rpm it back to normal 11,000 rpm it comes back.. same in every gear..
so tried a test opened the choak then gave her a fist full
right round to 120 no problems
choak off tried again it started pulling back at 8k + 11k
so i think it's not getting enough petrol...
whats everyones recomendation?

i have cleaned the carbs !!

cheers

First of all check the o rings in the carbs, this will cause the flooding. They are very prone to perishing.
Second problem, check the vacuum pipe to the fuel tap.
