As topic says, thinking of getting some new clutch plates from wemoto, the EBC ones, how are they compared to other alternatives, and what are the alternatives?

I don't know personally, but I remember a post on the old site about this. Basically the ebc weren't recommended for race use as they were known to fail due to the abuse they take on starts, but for road use they'd probably be fine.
