Ignition wiring

Post by christ044 »

Right iv got a problem getting my NC24 to start.

Iv pulled a rear plug and im getting a spark, what im concerned about is if iv put the correct wires to coil terminals? They are colour coded but the only wiring diagraph is in Japanesse so i dont know the colours, can anyone help with this or will it make no difference?

you have two wires to each coil, do you still have the tags attatched to one of each of the wires? they should say 1,2,3,4 (cylinder numbers)

If you do, those wires go to the coloured terminal on the coil.

Right just had a look at the wiring and yes there are labels on the wires, by some chance of fate iv got them on the correct coils and iv pull both rear plugs and they are sparking. Only thing is the plugs a totally dry yet i tried to start the bike about 1/2 an hour before hand and there is fuel getting to the float bowls.

I take it this means i have a carb problem? Is it just a case of stripping down and cleaning or more serious do you think?
