Do you have a Rear/Paddock Stand? If not, you'll find it very hard to manage. I'd advise putting the bike on a Rear Stand before using the following methods.

1) Use some ratchet straps to lift the front end, by hanging them over a support beam in the garage. (Requires Straps & Garage, with beams!)

2) Use the same ratchet straps, support the bike via a large A-Frame style ladder, over the front end of the bike. (Needs a very big ladder!)

3) Remove fairing, lift front end, slide some large wood, at least 2x the width of the bike under the exhaust with some thick rubber between the wood & exhaust. Lower bike, and rest on exhaust. (Needs huge balls, I wouldn't do this unless really needed).

I did this recently. I went for option 3 (big balls :D ) with the rear end on a paddock stand. I wedged it upright with an old matress one side and some other stuff covered in thick blankets the other side. It sat fine like that for over 3 weeks.

ive used number 3 method also, but no rubber or mattress' on wood blocks but not for too longer period, the bike will very unstable for this job tho, i had to watch myself when just polishing inside face of forks. suspension i would recommend.

If doing this tie small rope from base of screen stay to something solid either side (post, heavy bench ect) to keep it balanced.
