redex

I would like your views on adding redex to fuel.Q.Does it work to un gum parts like it says on the tin or is it a waste of time and does more damage than good.Thanks .

I use it occasionally and it has not killed my bike yet. I reckon it makes your fuel pink 8-)

What are you hoping it will do?

Regardless of if it does / does not work it'll only ever be able to get to parts the fuel does.

Modern engines are much more reliable, cleaner burning and the fuel is 'better'. Put it this way, not too long ago 'decoking the head' was part of a regular service and don't get half as dirty inside as they used to, which is when I can imagine something like redex would be useful.

I dont' bother with it myself, if I have running problems i'll strip and clean the engine as on modern engines their usually caused by something failing, not set right which redex isn't going to fix

..used as recomended though I can't see it doing no harm apart from draining your wallet.
