Wanted Signal Generator & Coil
OK, so I am a glutton for punishment! I've just bought a 76A Sports production II which is a non runner (hasn't run for years). I don't get a spark at the plugs. I think I've traced it down to the signal generator. Does anybody have a spare they wish to sell please?? I am quite sure I also need a coil so I'm looking forone of those as well. Anybody got one?
Are they the same as on the bandit?

Re: Wanted Signal Generator & Coil
Hi Gazz,
The 76 has the same NO.331100-10D00 for the pick up as the Bandit so you could buy new if not too much. Ive got a set of bandit coils in the shed if they are any good, they are 3ohm!.

Re: Wanted Signal Generator & Coil
Hi Guys, thanks for the offers :) The coils measure 3.1 on the low tension side according to my hand held tester. It appears that they are handed, the one I need the most is the LH side as you sit in the bike, however a pair would be useful. Chris, thanks for the heads up re the sig gen.

Re: Wanted Signal Generator & Coil
Gazz,
Was it one or other, or both replacements that solved it for you?
Have the IDENTICAL problem on my own GK76a here. Coils are good, but doubting the SigGen pickup. Gonna test the resistance of it tonight....
The only spark i get when trying to fire it up is when I've finished trying and turn the killswitch to OFF.
Either the SigGen pickup, or a bad earth from my own process of elimination.
Thanks,
Jamie/.

Re: Wanted Signal Generator & Coil
Jamie, sorry for the delay, I didn't have a spark from either coil, it was the signal generator which was the problem. I replaced a coil as it wasn't within spec.
Sig Gen resistance should be 80-120 Ohms
