cbr 400 rg aero running problems
Hi everyone. New to this site. Been searching for this for ages and at long last came across it by accident trying to find a solution to my prob. my pride and joy is a cbr 400 aero, rg model, 22 years new. Used to run fine but recently has started to die at slower speeds like at junctions etc. It picks up with a lot of throttle and runs really well at higher speeds. Prob also seems to get worse the longer the bike runs or hotter it gets. Have been told could be rectifier but aint got a clue myself.

Hi Mitch,
Do you have it serviced regularly? If not it could just be a combination of dirty airfilter, old plugs etc.

Too many bikes, so little time!

Hi Matchlessman
Thought the same myself but changed filter, checked plugs, fuel pump and hoses look ok etc but i can virtually predict when it will happen when i'm running. soon as bike gets warmed up. Gives the impression its flooding after slowing down and trying to accelerate away. Can high rev through coughs and splutters then runs well with no loss of power, next junction/roundabout happens again. cheers
