So,i have my bike in bits,iv cleaned things up and got it all boxed and ready for the re-build.
so my thoughts are turned to what to do with my suspension, its a 17 year old bike that has been used as a daily rider pretty much all of its life so as you can imagine everything is pretty tierd and has not been maintained.
front forks: im just thinking a rebuild with new springs if necessary and a change of oil and seals, how will i know if my springs need changing? and if they do what are the best to go for bearing in mind im a 18year old mechanic with small pockets lol.
rear shock: the shock itself is not leaking but the spring is quite badly rusted up if i got it re-built would they respray it for me if it was not to far gone? also what do people think of the Hagon N type shocks? are they any good for road use? how do they compaire to a original re-built shock?
Any other suggestions that i could do would be greatly appreciated im 6ft2" n weight 11stone5lb so abit odd ball lol.
thanks pete
