£800-1000 is my guess? Not sure they take what new things had just been put on it. Would be worth trying to buy it back though, so you could either sell the new bits off and the rest of the good bits to make your money up. Hope you wasnt hurt.

Chris.

id agree with price above, youll probably only get near the lower end tho, well done if you get more. with tyres they are still just tyres to an insurance company, when you insure your next bike declare any extras e.g. my bike is insured for £900 (91 nc29). it was first insured without fairings, when i came to renew i couldnt raise value as it now had fairings but you can have additional parts...so ive got £250 for stainless exhaust, £300 for fairings, £150 for ART carbon end can and declared as having metzeler tyres (which it did at the time). basically it cost me only a few extra pounds to cover me for any eventuality (until the basta**s find a clause!).

If you think that you are going to get a low offer, start doing some homework by collecting private and trade adverts for similiar bikes. You will likey have a value on your policy so that will determine you max payout, it does not however mean that is the value you will be paid.

As soon as you receive you offer, say its £500 you can instantly provide evidence to support you claim that you bike is worth say £1000 by producing the adverts. You may then get some sort of increased offer. It is then up to you when you accept. Don't forget you excesswhich you will have to wear. Your next issue of course if whether you buy back the salvage.

Good luck!!
