are you talking about headlight aim?????

do you have the manual?

in the manual it tells you how to adjust the aim but at the back(mot checks)it shows you how to do a rough check....not 100% accurate but it will give you an idea if the aim is in the right ball park!!!!!

position the bike in a straight line facing a brick wall.the bike must be off its stand, upright and with the seater sitted.measure the height from the ground to the centre of the headlight and mark a horizontal line on the wall at this height.position the motorcycle 3.8 metres away from the wall and draw a vertical line up the wall central to the centreline of the motorcycle.switch the dipped beam and check that the beam pattern falls slighlty lower than the horizontal line and to the left of the vertical line.

Well LP looking at the haynes manual and matching the disconnected wires it seems to be the ones that goes to the speed limit light, whever that'll affect the 5k / 6k problem i don't know *havent really rode the bike more than 10 miles so far*

is it missing the plug?
you can always plug/wire in a de-limiter that will eliminate the issue.
