My nc24 has been stood since the beginning october.
Im now looking at getting it all sorted and back on the road again
I used to be on the old forums but not been on for a while.
The bike has 24000km on her and fuel tap switched off for most of the duration
Whats the best way to get her up and running abit? the brakes seem abit rusty and seized, but i can move the bike if i put some effort into pushing.
I did try starting it a while back with no joy, but the battery seems fine after a full charge
help really aprreciated

Yea new tank of fuel wont go a miss.
And just take the calipers off and give them a quick clean if they seem a bit seized...

I'm in the same boat Delvey. Pretty much gonna do as described below, fresh fuel, check/clean the brakes, check your tyres also, they perish quicker if they're old and if it's been stood outside, check all your bulbs etc and other fluids. Generally give it a good goin over!

just to update, changed break pads and put fresh fuel in
charged battery, was ticking over and nothing
so i think the carbs need cleaning out, easiest way to do this?

I would have a look at the plugs if you can get it fire but not run properly

is it possible to drain the carbs without removing them?

yes you can. remove the lower fairings, place a catch tray under the little spouts that you can see under the carbs as this is where the fuel will pour from. Then loosen the drain screws. Just do one at a time.
