Original paint scheme??
Thinking of buying this NC30 but does anyone know if it was an original paint sceme...looks kinda odd around where the side fairing joins the top fairing, the white strip looks to be at too much of an angle to fit in with the rest of the paint job

Re: Original paint scheme??
not original at all.
I would be ahppy if it was orignal plastic panels thougha s at least you can get a decent paint job on there!!
There is a thread in the V4 general section with all of the official paint schemes in there.
Welcome too by the way!

Re: Original paint scheme??
+not original scheme or pannels, there the chinese fairings for sale on ebay for about £250, big hint in the tank aswell, chance are that bike was crashed or the fairings is shite condition so they were replaced to make it look neat and sell for more but the owner couldnt be bothered to respreay the tank, andother hint its been crashed a repaired is the blue levers, horrible (imo) and cheeper than oe
id be suspition of the condition of the rest of the bike tbh, seems like a quick and mabe to sell for a profit, although the rearsets and polished wheel spacer say otherwise (that even looks like ti!)
personally would never pay more than a grand for a bike like this

Re: Original paint scheme??
well whats ur thunder race like?
if that is good nick underneath it all then id say its not a bad deal
those are £150 rearsets and if you got the tank painted up to match i doubt the bike would look too bad, and you could track day it without a worry of trashing originals

Re: Original paint scheme??
The lad has just sent me 10 more pics but to be honest it does not look to be in very good condition...the ace is in very tidy condition and benefits from a s/s complete exhaust plus other extras.
The deal is he was giving me £125 plus the NC30(it is a 92 mines a 96) he was also chucking in a set of new tyres.
Problem is i reckon mine is worth about £1350 and i'd say the NC30 is probably worth about £600-£700.
What do you guys reckon...am i being greedy??

Re: Original paint scheme??
endine and frame wise she looks clean, spend a bit of cash on some new bolts (get rid of the horrid anodised stuff), pain the tank yoke cover etc, polish it up and i recon that bike would be alright
the one thing that does look wierd is that rear wheel spacer,
