NC30 Throttle tube, how do i get the throttle cables in?!?!?

Hello,
need a hand quick smart,
have the bike at work and am a little stuck.
Replaced the throttle tube (plastic bugger that holds the throttle cables)
Had a massive bitch inserting the 2 cables, only managed to get them in when i stuck my hand between the motor and the frame and removed one of the cables from there.

Question is, now that i can't get it back on there, how do i loosen the cables enough to attach them short of removing the whole bloody carb assembly?!?!?!
Really don't want to do this as it is a major pain in the ass to remount the carb.
Any advice would be brilliant.
Thanks lads.

Hey mate, you won't be able to get the cable in at the throttle end if the cable's already on the carbs. (You might be able to if you slacken off the adjustor all the way but no guarantees!).

You need to put them in the throttle tube first, then the carb end. With a little patience it isn't too hard, but as you've found out it's heaps easier when the carbs are off.

I don't use any throttle return cables on these bikes because they add to the pain if you remove the carbs often.

Yeah lose the throttle return cable for sure. The throttle is on a massive spring so a cable is not needed. If cable is attached to carb, then you need to effectively open the throttle and wedge it open with whatever you can. This will give you enough slack to attach the other end. You also need to attach the cable at the throttle end with the tube already on the bars as the cable isn't long enough to reach over the bars afterwards.
Not easy but possible.

Take the right clip-on off or loosen it as it gives you a little more slack to fit the cable on, i put the carb ends in first when i did mine as i found that way a little easier but everyone will have a different way of doing them
