ok my shock is now in the post and i plan to have it revalved resprung and setup for my weight, can anyone advise a good company to do this who arent too expencive

I contacted maxton and they said they have done it in the past but only re sprung it and turned the rebound all the way up to make it as stiff as possible, he said they could do it again for me but dont advice it too much, he said this would be about £60 so im willing to spend about £80 getting it setup properly

You want an additonal shim on the rebound stack so that you can have the adjustability you need to set it up. I had mine done at Mick Gardner racing in Barnsley...

Pick any suspension place - must be millions near you - motoX, road race classics.. Shocks are shocks and if you had the seals, skills and tools you could do it yourself.

how much did your's cost, I just got in contact with a local company and they said about £180 which i thought was bloody expencive

ive used revs racing in the past near birmingham. not too sure about pricing as he worked on my forks not shock but they were amazing after. looks like he is working with ian lougher aswell now so cant be half sharp.

I had mine on my old rvf done DPS racing, there under a different name now but cant remember it. he said he'd done loads before and charged me about £100 inc p+p i already had a spring though. big improvement on road and track

They did a standard rebuild without a new spring on my old NSR shock a few years ago which included a new Resevoir for £80

I just had mine revalved about 4 years ago now. I didint bother with the shim. As for getting it set up. I did mine by eye then got the syspention guy at the track to set up the front and rear a the same time. It was only £40 he gave me a sheet with all of the adjustments on it, he said if I have any issues just to give him a bell with the settings.

It all worked for me, oh and I fitted a ohlins shock.
