they h4 bulbs are uk spec and do not fit the jap spec lights correctly, you can doctor them to fit in the headlight but chances are they won't sit as they should.
jap spec bulbs are 60/35w........
i have jap spec bulbs in at the moment but i have had the h4 bulbs fitted previously......
the other problem with the uk h4 bulb is they are 60/55w so a jap spec bike without a low beam relay runs the risk of burning the switch.
hope this helps

other than the jap spec 60/35w bulbs i don't think so.
your only option i believe would be to purchase uk spec headlights, davidsilver supplies these.....i think they cost in the region of £100 i think.
i use to fit the h4 bulb by snipping one of the tabs off and it would slot in,come mot time though the headlight aim was off but on the road i never experienced any problems.........but the downside is the possibility of burning the switch out.

That sounds good what is the relay mod. Is it easy to do and what does it involve?
Thanks

gratuitously nicked from the old forum :D
pretty straightforward to do.
you can use a 30amp 4 blade relay instead of 20amp. been running mine nearly everyday for 3 years no problems.

Those laser-cut adapter rings look ok.
You can also just mod the headlight itself as documented below, its not too difficult and takes about 10 mins once you can get to the headlight :)
