hi all,
why is it so hard to get hold of an air filter for my bike (nc23 88-89 RRK)? it seems like everywhere i look they have nc29 or nc23 86-87, but never mine.
does anyone one have any recomendations for mods or know wether or not the early 23 or 29 filters fit?
thanx gaz

Gaz,
A simple mod is to cut the filter paper/gauze material out of the filter leaving the steel meshing in, you can then buy filter foam which you cut to size and pre-oil which then fits in under the wire meshing. All you have to do then is keep the filter foam clean and oiled problem solved!.

Simply because the standard Honda item works so well ....
New Honda air filters in stock .. however for a race upgrade carefully remove the paper only from the rear section - up the jet size a little and bingo more power..
4 short trumpets also help - again good used in stock.
Hope that helps

hi'
there was no chance of just buying a new filter element as my gause was removed by the fool who did the bodge job. so i got in touch with GF and hes sorting me out with a brand new one.
just thinking this might be part of the reason why its hard to start....
thanx for the info
