Hi,
there 2 1/4 bore. I'm going to cut them down (which will prob be another thread titled how to cut carbon fibre...lol) abit when i make my stainless link pipes, this was a quickish bodge on to see if it ran ok and sounded nice which it does on both counts, it sounds well deep and nice like a sort a baby sp1 or something but reasonably quiet.....
I'll take more pics when i put the bellypan back on and clean it.
Thanks for looking
Happy new year
Ian

I used to work part time in fishing tackle shop when i was an old boy. (I know!) We used to use blunt hacksaws to cut carbon when repairing rods. New, sharp blades have a tendancy to 'rip' the carbon and seperate the fibres.

I believe you can get carbon-specific blades for hacksaws. They have powdered metal stuck to them instead of teeth and effectively 'sand' through the carbon instead of cutting it.

Hiya,
thanks for the hints with the hacksaw blades, i've got me welder back off me mate now so i can start getting things finished in some stainless in a couple a weeks hopefully, so i can get them cut down a bit.
and yeah i made it out of some bits a scrap pipe and the standard back pipes cut in half-ish.
I dont know if to have them exiting at the same place (like they are at tho mo) or offset a bit, seeing as the rest of the bike is a one sided...lol......
Cheers
Ian
