Ive got a gold label CDI also...

is there anything else I need to do with the bike to ensure its fully powered?
Is the 112mph speed restriction taken out by the gold CDI or do I need to do other mods?

thanks

the gold label cdi by itself means that the bike is de restricted! you will most likely find that ure bike is an NC23-RRJ whereas my bike has a blue cdi which means that it is restricted also meaning that my bike is an NC23-RRK, you'll be able to go faster than 112mph without mods whereas i need to mod my bike!

hope that helps :P

NC23-RR-J to 112mph de-restrict you need a gold label CDI pictured above.
NC23-RR-K to 112mph de-restrict you need the resistor mod
NC29-all models to 112mph de-restrict you need res mod...

all of the above can also be de-restricted by fitting a KPH to MPH manual speedo converter ONLY if your speedo face is still in KPH. this mod does not work with MPH faces.
the 3rd de-limiter mod for NC23-RR-K and all NC29s is to remove the half moon shaped disk from inside the speedo. this is not a mod for mechanical beginners!

4th way: Unscrew your speedo cable...
