will a ducati 748 rear wheel fit onto a rvf400 or will i have to get a ducati axel

It can possibly be made to fit but I have not heard of it..

One of the guys on here - "SMEV" had fitted a 916 wheel to his bike - he may be along shortly to tell you if he can recall how it was done..

If you have the kit in front of you then ping us a few pics - It might be too wide though - is it a 5.5 inch wide rim?

a m8 of mine had a duke wheel on his rc30, but had to machin a spacer to make it fit, so i'd say it would fit but you will have to make a spacer,

Heres one I converted a while ago, I had to bore the center hole out 1mm, machine clearance for the disc mounting bolts and make a spacer.

does that mean you could fit these puppies on an nc30

that would look nice, but mabe a little out of place on a classic looking bike, shit hot on a tyga bike tho

Trouble is!!! it has a 5.5in wide rim, too wide for a 160 section tyre and there aint enough clearance for a bigger section tyre, plus it feels ungainly due to the extra centrifugal weight, better off with a 5 spoke magnesium dymags

is it heavier than the standard wheel? +1 i think the 5 spoke mag's look nicer, i would do bad things for a pair of 5 spoke carbon mags

As the guys said I had one fitted to my old NC30 - as it was a ducati rep it looked the part!

To fit it there was a 4.5mm thick spacer that went between the wheel and the hub. It just slid over the locating spigots and had cut outs where the disc bolts are. This spaced the wheel out far enough to clear the chain and swingarm. I ran a 160 tyre on it and think it was only 5" wide.

Some people say it meses up the handling as the wheels are no longer in line! I didn't really notice and could throw it around in the twisties and get my knee down no problem

The spacer I made was 4.5mm wide also, but measuring the standard wheel against the duke wheel there is a 2mm discrepancy between the two so the wheel is only going to be 2.5mm out of alignment, Early duke wheels are also narrower and are more suitable the actual wheel I used was about 1kg heavier than standard but the weight is probably in the rim where its effect is most noticable
