Re: sprocket configuration
get a 14t front and you are sorted.
Whatever you do will skew the speedo out.

Re: sprocket configuration
yep - the NC gets the speedo reading from the gearbox and so if you change the final drive then it will be out.
Pretty much nowt you can do about it apart from fit a cycle speedo if you have to have accuracy

Re: sprocket configuration
do it anyways...why not?
I run 14/41 and it is rapid.
used to run 15/43 and 15/44 which was also rapid!
If you are worried about speeding then slow down...

Re: sprocket configuration
the nc30 is rapid i agree-
but i do most of my riding in london so i like to burn people at the lights lol.
plus, i almost had me a little power wheelie the other day, i thought chaging the gearing might make it a little easier...
how badly would 15/44 throw out the speedo? i only wonder cos theres a million speed cameras down by me...

Re: sprocket configuration
On my track bike I always ran 14/44 and I wouldn't run anything else. Accelerartion like a train and revs out about 100mph, I don't want to travel faster than that on the road anyway.
As regards the speedo being out, yes it will be out for sure. I remember seeing an equation to work it out accurately on here, but you've probably got a reasonable idea to be able to judge your speed.

How hard can it be?
