over-fueling

since the yamamoto half system has been fitted ive noticed a fair bit of over-fueling... dunno if its because of the ridiculously cold mornings lately, but theres been a steady little drip of petrol coming from the end of the pipe- and when im warming her up in the mornings if im there for too long itll start to drip out of the clamp where the pipe joins (just under the side stand)
also, when using the engine braking comin down form high-ish revs i get some sweet sounding backfires (not loud explosions, just an irregular poppy grumbly sound)
what i was wondering is- should i get the problem fixed post haste? or is it a minor issue?
feel free to tell me if im being a total tard- but the only other bike ive owned is an Aprilia RS125- which let you know in no un-certain terms if there was something amiss....

You sure it is not water?...that lovely byproduct of combustion?
Also, backfires are a symptom of air leaks in the pipework..so get it joined up nice and tight

definately smells like petrol...
and as for the leasks, well the guy who fitted my exhaust said that it wasnt exactly super snug...
so its nothing much to worry about then?

Bet it is not petrol though...smells like it as it is dripping out the exhaust! If it does it in the summer then OK..not water..but it is.lol - if there was enough extra fuelling that your bike dripped it out the pipes you would barely get around the block on a tank
bit of popping is alright...flames are good too

now that i think about it- it would smell like petrol wouldnt it...
hmm some flames would be cool- totally chav-tastic- but cool none the less lol.
how would i manage that then?

To achieve flames you need to be riding along -roll off the throttle, hit the kill switch for a about a second them flick it back on and wait for the fuel that has pumped into the cylinders to ignite.
And BANG!!!

with hopefully flames out the back.
Note: I take no reponsibility for any damaged caused to you or your bike while doing this.
It must obviously be bad as there is going to be extra pressures caused all through the bike ob con rods, bearings, valves and cranks etc.
I've only done it on demo bikes cos they aren't mine!!!

The liquid coming from the pipes is just condensation everyone will get it this time of year. As for the popping, sounds good don't you think? My stubby blue flame can sounds awesome when you take it all the way up the revs then roll off you get some wicked sounds and at night time you might see a flame or two!
