my nc30 work in progress.

When i got this thing it was in rough shape. Its a J-spec bike, 42,000 km's on the clock. It was originally an R3L, and has seen lots of action. The tail had been replaced and all of the other bodywork on the bike was either scraped cracked or broke (except the front fender ) Ive been slowly nursing it back to health. The brakes probably needed the most attention, still sorting out the rear brake. However, the little V4 runs like a champion. The villamotor fairings are coming togather nicely, still need a little sorting out in places but overall im satisfied.

Heres a little before and after..

more to come! I havent decided if i want to keep the original nose and front fender, i like them a little better, and i think it matches alright. The paint on the pattern fairings dont really match any original paint schemes, but its okay with me. i think it looks loads better than it did before, and the price was right. Also, my plan is to paint the front wheel gold as well.

let me know what you think so far.

I like it - clean, standard looking with a few choice tweaks.

agreed. the nc30 is a handsome looking bike, no need to dress it up too much!

Im hoping to get a delivery today (a rear brake hose) so i can finally have rear brakes!

Thank you, I was told a while back that it is an ethos 1/2 race system. It sounds mean! I chopped it down a good 4-6'' to get rid of some "battle" damage.

My friend said he would tig weld some new spring tabs back on that have been broken apart from being layed down. I just need to find replacement ones.

Thanks guys.

haha i kind of like the red chain, it will be a little less noticable when i fit the chain guard, my brake hose did not arrive today  so im putting it off a bit longer.

I really want to paint the inside of the fairings semi-gloss black... If i have time i might get started on this tomarrow..

hey guys, let me know your opinions on this.. Im thinking about painting the inner front fairing (dont know the real name of it-the fairing piece in front of the rads) I want to spray it semi-gloss black as it IMO looks a little chintzy being bright-ass red. On top of that, there is a bit of gap that bothers me between it and the side fairings. Im hoping it would be alot less noticeable after painting it black.
