CDI restriction

Hello,
I have two CDIs one 33c70 and a 33c10
I tested both of them and it looks like the 33c10 reduces power at around 12000rpm. The 33c70 on the other hand goes strong up to 14000 so there is definitely a restriction.
So I opened them up to see the different.
To my surprise they are using bridges to short some pins and set different settings.
So in my case there are two 0 ohm resistors (just bridges) underneath the PCB close to the big IC.
I am pretty sure if I remove them I will have the same effect. I will try this today.
Anyone else who wants to share some findings? Maybe a Kit CDI?
