Hi, heres a couple of linked photos showing that you can get quite a bit on the 9"×6" approx pillion seat of the 29 when you need to go camping. The other shows that modern luxury of Solar panels, one for the bike, the other on the tent for my phones, camera, intercom

Sorry they are links, i dont have time to convert them.

Lol, that was just for two days away. I usually have a bigger tank bag and the panniers expanded. I do wish they had more depth to them rather than look sporty. Note in one pic it shows the seat top, this is my camping seat as i can only get on the bike by shoving my short legs through the gap, hence the scuff marks on the top of the seat. I change it back to my good seat when im finished camping.

My mate was on a vfr800 and has plenty room for camping stuff.

The lakes can be nice, when its not raining or the midges.

Yeh ,know all about the rain here in Morecambe, ever thought of a bigger bike for these type of trips, I know you love your 29 but it would save wear and tear, the vfr's of what ever persuasion are all good bikes and what about a big Blade , just got a 954 myself. ;)

Sadly as mentioned i am of the short ass variety so finding a bike to fit is a nightmare and luckily the only bike that fits is the one i most like. I will never be an adventurist with matching textiles and matching hard panniers, so the mini sportsbike with bags hanging of at odd angles will remain, i suppose slightly old school for todays campers, i can tell as proper adventurists try not to look my way :). Im off to the IOM in a few weeks so look out for me if anyone is going and gimmi a wave.
