The big end on my NC23K has gone - I have a spare CB1 engine which appears to be in good condition - can I swap over the crank assembly/pistons/barrel for the CB1 straight into the original NC23 engine?

Also - any ideas where to get a full engine gasket set for the engine?

I think there are some similarities with the NC23 and the CB1....The CB1 also known as the NC27.

iF YOU Look at a NC27 engine, it kinda looks like the NC23 engine as well.....I'm not sure really

The CB1 engine is basically the same as the NC23 from the cylinder head down. To do the swap, the easiest is to fit the NC23 head & cams including the 2 water outlets, water pump & oil cooler (behind the oil filter) and ignition pick ups to The CB1 engine this will get you going again. You may find the gear ratios are a bit different but actually more suited to road riding also you might want to swap the clutch baskets as the nc23 unit is lighter

I think that's everything I can remember from swapping parts between the 2 bikes

GF racing, CMSNL or David Silver spares can sort out the gaskets for you. Don't bother with the cheap Chinese eBay ones as they are miles out
