Fuel Tank Overflow NC30

I have searched the topic already apologies if this has already been answered...
My NC30 leaks fuel out of the filler cap if it is brimmed and runs down the side of it. It has not always done this
I am not sure what I need to be looking at to unblock as I think it will be the overflow pipe but it is not clear to me where this would be....
If anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated.

Are you filling the fuel right to the top? I think the fuel can expand and come out the top if it's too full.

I've always brimmed it as long as I've had it and it is only a recent issue

Not sure of exactly what the problem is. You fill the tank to the top while on the side stand, then sometime later there is fuel running out of the filler cap and down the exterior of the tank.

Check the rubber ring/gasket on the bottom of fuel cap.this seals when you push cap back down..if you have always brimmed it full it may have perished over time so might need replacing...hth.

Is the hole in the tank next to the filler neck not an overflow to the underside of the tank that then drips onto a small tray on top airbox with a pipe running down to sidestand area if the cap seal is leaking would think fuel would exit that way rather than over top of the tank unless that is blocked also
Or tank breather pipes are badly routed trapped ?

This could be where it is coming from as there is a replacement quick fill cap and it does not have any rubber seals anywhere thinking about it....Thank you!

Where does the overflow fuel that drips down that hole run to - what is the route and how would I check it...?
much appreciated so far

The cause is the aftermarket cap it should have a seal .
The overflow is the small hole in the recess which exits from a small pipe on tank underside to a small tray on the airbox top which has a rubber pipe straight down to the sidestand bracket .

It does sound like your missing the rubber seal for the fuel cap.
The overflow hole under the cap goes straight thru the tank and drips onto a little cup on the airbox, theres a hose that connects to this on the underside of the airbox lid and should be routed down to the bottom of the bike somewhere away from anything hot / flammable.
