Master Cylinder upgrade

Morning all,

I ride a 1989 NC23 CBR400RR and I love the little thing, but I do wish I had a bit more feel from the brakes. The calpiers and lines seem good quality and have been replaced/upgraded at some point in life. However the factory master cylinder has no bleed nipple and I'd like to add something with a little more flow and a master bleed.

Does anybody know if I could swap on a newer CBR600/1000RR master and use the same fittings? Would this be a straight swap on etc.?
If not does anybody have recommends of what may be best.

Lastly, sorry if this has been covered before, I did try searching first but words too common :(

You'd be best looking for a radial cylinder off a bike with one large caliper than a modern sports bike, as that will be too big and feel wooden in your hand. Nc23 has one inch Pistons x4, modern bikes usually around 30/34 x8, it's a lot more piston area and won't work well.

I'm using one from a 929 Fireblade. Bigger piston in it. [emoji41]

Feel or power--your choice.
