Mystery GK76 Part to Identify?

Hello guys,
My GK76 build is coming along nicely and I'll post some more pics when I get a chance.
However, rather concerningly, this afternoon I discovered a mystery part sitting on my work bench.
It can only be off my GK76, because that's all I've been working on for the past 18 months!
Does anyone know what it could be?
No distinguishing numbers or marks and it's exactly 15mm long.
Just don't want my bike to conk out when I finally start it again due to an essential part missing.

Is it a plunger from a side stand or brake light switch?

Shhhhhh!!!
Don't mention the shotgun.
It's definitely the legal barrel length officer.

That's what I thought too dobbslc, when I was thinking about what it could possibly be.
I need to check the front brake lever when I get a minute as I replaced that recently.
There's nothing that looks like it on the Suzuki exploded parts diagram.

I think it is from the neutral/gear position switch. There's a spring that attaches to it also!

Give the man a cookie!
moforockband wins the competition. :worthy:
This is exactly where it goes (where I've highlighted) and it is indeed part of the neutral/gear position switch.
Thank you so much for all your help.
You lot are ace!

 I knew it was some kind of switch type thing!
I won't look too hard at that engine pic as it brings back bad flashbacks.....

Why? What happened to your engine?
I know that mine has seen a few miles already, but I'm hoping that if I keep the annual mileage down and I treat it with respect it will last me till I loose my eyesight. ;)
That's the trouble with GK76's.
Spare parts are becoming harder to find and no bike mechanic will touch them!
