you can use the standard bar end weight as a puller.
You'll need to heat the flywheel

3TJ /4DX: there is no need to remove the flywheel if you want to exchange the generator.
compressed air screw driver ( no idea what is the correct english name) and a short knock with the hammer and it was done for my flywheel. heating is recommended, but in my experiences, the heat is spreading to fast for the expacted effect.
It is correct standard bar end has the same thread, if I remember correct it's M18 x1,5

Do you have an American model ?
If it's not American then it's a 1wg, there are a few models within the 1wg designation - you have twin headlights, but do you have air intakes ? if so are they above or below the headlights ?
Either way I think the puller thread is the same as the 3TJ described ^^^^ above

single headlight bud. G reg. says manufactured 1990 and on v5 was registered 1993.
Also engine mounts are on barrel castings. all evidence leading to a 3tj1 so why isnt my genny bolted to cover instead?

to remove it, i have bought a hexagone screw M18x 1.5 len = app 150mm.
now you can use socket wrench and compressed air driver with a lot of torque.
