Hey all
Anyone out there with an HRC nc30 piston, would it be possible to post a few hi res pics? Bonus points if you can put a standard nc30 piston next to it and also measure the pin centre to deck height
Cough, Yakama, cough
Thanks,
Luke

It is to late, engine is complete.

I have liams HRC pistons here so can certainly photo them, how does one measure the pin centre to deck height?

Thanks DM. If you have the pin then I would just stick that in one boss and then try using a vernier gauge of you have one between that and the flat section on top above the valve cutouts. Then measure the diameter of the pin and subtract half the diameter from the vernier measurement. Not looking for crazy precision- would just like to know how they differ from standard pistons.

One way would be to push a pin half way in the HRC piston,
And the other half in a standard piston, side by side you can then measure from the top of one piston to the top of the other.

From my reading of the F3 setup manual, the HRC rods are 3mm longer and thus the HRC pistons would have to have a 3mm lower compression height. Assuming we are talking about the same HRC pistons.

That is what I am expecting and then want to see the crown design around that lower height

Thanks- do you have any pics from the side or 3/4 angles?
Cheers
