gk 76a sp

Hallo to all!!!

I'm posting this on its own to see if I can get more response. I have a gk76a sp. My bike idles good but refuses to rev over 6k rpm. I have no tps on my carbs could this be the cause?

- Carbs flooding, have you replaced the o rings - 76's need their carbs to have sound o rings, or else it will run really rich, damage engines etc etc.
- Check you have no air restriction
- Check the vacuum slides are sound, free to operate

Hai Nick thanks for the reply, all new o rings, gonna replace the slides today plus the diaphragms. Will let you know of the outcome. Thanks

So the carbs on my sp is 35mm and uses tps, today I got a tps off a set of 33mm carbs, unfortunately I can't use anything else off the set, ill get another set of 35s tomorrow but they don't use tps so I'm gonna check if I can use parts from it to rebuild to mine, is there any major difference between the two 35s anyone know about? Also the 3wires from the tps to cdi has been removed anyone know what order they go back on?

Sure they run with no tps connected, ive ran my vvc bandit.
read that it only retards the ignition at low throttle position or similar.

33 and 35 mm carb bodies are the same but 35 is over bored, one of the old members machined 33mm out with no problems.

I rebuilt the carbs today, the set I got today got different type of jet needles and needle jet, but I built it all over to my old set, will set float levels tomorrow and give it a go, if anyone can help maybe with a picture of where the black, blue and red wires from the tps connect to the cdi. Any help will be appreciated.
