NC30 rear disk and sprocket replacement

Sooooooo I've managed to remove the rear wheel/calliper , I have the diagram but does anybody know how to actually remove the rear disk? I've removed the bolts but of course the darn thing won't go over the final drive assembly. The diagram suggests a circlip but I don't see it. I'm scared to give it a good seeing to for fear of damaging something. The bike is currently on a padlock stand (coming from the left side) I also have the very dodgy option of suspending the whole lot from the garage roof if required.

Suggestions and or a actual photo would be very useful.

Thanks in advance guys

Stu

Yeah, it doesn't come off with the axle in place--sorry!

Sometimes the sprocket carrier doesn't like to come off the axle, but I don't think you're at that stage, yet. Can you borrow an ABBA stand from someone?

Ciao,

Rear disc will come off in situ, just have to manoeuvre/manhandle it out,,twice I've done mine that way!!

Hmm. I can do it on the bench without the axle mounted into bearing carrier, but I'll have to try again with the whole thing mounted, because I've always thought it was impossible. It may be that only OEM discs cave the correct cut-outs, though. Sorry for any misinformation!

Ciao,

I couldn't for the life of me get mine off without taking it all apart, the new one I put on was an oem disc and was exactly the same as the old one.
Maybe theres a slight difference in some of them.

All sorted thanks, a couple of car axel stands under the right peg and left engine block and the bike was supported safely (although I still had rope to be double sure)

Removed staked nut from left hand side and hey presto the whole lot came apart :)

For the record the rotor/disk does NOT come off of the right side if its standard OEM

Thanks for the suggestions.

PS Rick O was a star again and suggested the axel stands I do love that guy :0)

Hmm,mine Is standard disc and came of from the right(wheel)side...was fiddly but sure came off,,twice,,you have to get one part over the driving pin plate then pull the disc and it WILL come of...glad you sorted it though
