As for as I know the 3tj engines sp & rr all have 1wg only stamped on them & no other numbers. ;)

There's a take off for the oil cooler I think it comes from the oil filter housing

A 4DX is a UK spec 3TJ.

My engine only has 1WG on it. I thought maybe something was wrong with the bike's identity but it matches the V5.

if the 4dx engine has two pipes comming from the oil filter it is an sp if does not then it is an rr motor.. but lucky enough the 4dx sp and 3tj rr has the same amount of clutch plates 8 in total sp has nine which is a pain for you hane to buy two packs of clutch plates..

The 4DX is a European spec 3TJ and I think all the 4DX have an oilcooler ... making it a bit of pain identifying them from the SP.

I guess the best way to tell an SP is to take the clutch cover off and count the plates

you could pull the rocker cover off as the valve spring are colour coded yellow for an sp & green for a rr, !

You can't see the springs without taking the cams out! The clutch has an extra plate though 9 I think for an SP. :D
