just been cleaning out the carbs etc and tidying up the 3tj i bought last week.

It starts lovely and idles real good, but when you rev it sees like its electronically limiting at 4k revs.
i found a connector that would take an m-max derestrictor box so i found a spare i had and plugged it in, revved up past 4k a few times but then seemed to go back to only reving to 4k.

any ideas?

It has a full stainless system fitted with no Exup, I removed the Exup motor, does it still need that plugged in?

Plugged the Exup servo back in and it revved all good :)
