So one of my leads is plonked,
Has anyone replaced the leads only?
Did you cut them shorter and screw back in or new cable?
Which new cable would be used?
Any help would be huge!
Cheers

I just cut the ends back about 10mm on mine...there was plenty of length.

I think they are just the normal 7mm copper cored lead.

Cannot recall how they are attatched at the coil but looking at the parts book they appear epoxied in.

If removing the lead from the coil daunts you then HT cable jointers are available.

yeah, it's normal 7mm HT lead. Can be bought by the metre from motor factors or the 'bay. The lead screws in to the coil, there wasn't any epoxy or anything on mine. Then the plug cap screws on the other end. Nice and easy!

I replaced the lot and all new caps on mine, it thought it would prob be easier/better in the long run.
