Uk model nc30, what's it worth?

Post by stevie »

Hi guys, it's been a while since iv been on here, unfortunately my bike riding has had to take a back seat after a nasty accident left my fazer & my back written off, so unfortunately I'm thinking I'm gonna sell the nc to fund a new car.
It is an official uk bike on a 92 J plate, with 25k on the clock, it has however been modified, as follows,
Tyga sazuka upper fairing, standard lower fairing, tyga rcv seat unit on ally sub frame, ally fairing stay, mirror indicators, smoked screen, rear hugger, tyga front mud guard, brembo radial master cylinder, brembo gold line callipers, goodridge braided hoses front & rear, wavy disks, brembo mini race resovour, nc35 carbs with full hrc carb setting kit, running 142f 145r mj hrc emulsion tubes, hrc "B" needles hrc velocity stacks, hrc air tray, hrc air box with modified air filter, nc35 exhaust cams (longer duration) tyga full exhaust system with carbon end can, re worked front forks with ohlins internals, Sachs fully adjustable rear shock with ohlins spring on modified dog bone linkage, ohlins steering damper, Dunlop gpr 70 tyres, it allso comes with most of the original parts, it is painted in Hm plant livery but the paint has seen better days, it has a few cracks & chips but still looks ok. I think that's about it, I just realy want to know roughly what it is worth, iv owned the bike for the last 10 years & have done all my own servicing & maintenance, the bike has never let me down & if I'm being honest I don't really want to sell it, but needs must & I struggle to ride it now because of my back, I'll try to add some pictures if I can, any help on what it mite b worth will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Return it back to standard bodykit and paint and all the right UK bits - and its worth quite a bit.
depending on how good the original paint and panels are really more so than mileage.
if it comes with the UK booklet and service card too then even better and another £500

Thanks, unfortunately the original bodywork is in a bad way which is why I changed it, I mite see if I can get some original replacement panels, I had a look on eBay & in standard trim there going for between 5 & 6 thousand pounds, so it may b worth spending a bit on new bodywork.

Those bikes have been on there for months/ years, unlikely to go for those prices. Finding all the right bits for a UK bike is going to be tricky, rear undertray and plate light will the big ones. Good Luck though.

Doubtful.
Ignore the ebay prices, these bikes have been around for ever by the usual rip off dealers.
real world prices are quite a bit less than that.

And as for original replacement panels, well factor in these went NLA a long time ago, and the aftermarket stuff will do nothing to the value of your bike as it stands now IMO.

Thing is, without the correct UK undertray, indicators, mirrors and other unique UK parts - your bike is the same as the rest but with an oil cooler and plaque on the frame - oh and a slightly different subframe that mounts the rectifier on an angle.

Tough to estimate its current value, i tend to put less value on modded bikes for some reason, i would expect it would make 2k as is - that said chuck it on ebay, no reserve and let it go.
i bet it would make more with a bidding war than a fixed price or reserve. seriously there are some daft fuckers on ebay that cant help themselves and just keep bidding and bidding to win.

It's all been covered above.

If you think it's worth 6 grand then advertise it for that.

Realistically for me I think It would struggle to make 2 unless you had some serious competition on the day.

Those twats on ebay are all rip off dealers that advertise at stupidly high prices, some of those bikes have been advertised for at least 3 or 4 years!

They might sell one once in a blue moon to somebody unsuspecting that sees many and thinks that is what they are actually worth (they also drive the price up for everybody else)

The fact its a UK model is only really a collectors thing (most non enthsuiast don't know or care about the slight differences)

But a collector will want the stock UK exhust system, under-tray, indicators and bodywork to be all original, any uk stuff like toolkit, owners card and book is extra.

without all that doesnt seem like it would fetch anymore

Thanks for all of your replies fellas I appreciate it, to be honest I was very surprised when I saw what they were going for on eBay, in my mind I was valuing it at around the £2500 mark, simply because it comes with most of the original parts, the full hrc carb kit ect... So I wasent far off, like u say I'll stick it on eBay & hope I get a couple of prats bidding each other up on it. To be honest I don't realy want to sell it but I'm struggling to ride it now with my back problems so I would rather use it to fund a new car than let it sit in the garden & rot away. Thanks again.
