If I disconnect te side stand switch and join the wires together will this work?

I'm a little worried as the wiring diagram shows a diode on the switch

yes mate its a simple switch, cannot remember if it makes or breaks so you will have to figure it out first.
just dont pull off with the stand done!

Christ the loom looks like a blind monkey on a sugar rush has been in there.
